Reuters is quoting Secretary of State Clinton as calling the reaction by the Assad government to the uprising in Syria "troubling". That alone ought to be enough to get Assad to resign. Imagine! Hillary says Assad is troubling!
On another note, the various factions of the opporsition in Syria met in Istanbul today and formed a National Salvation Council. That is another way of saying that the opposition has reached the point where it is forming a government in exile. My guess is that it will not be in exile for all that much longer.
