Gore is Less

Al Gore, the politician who has made a career getting rich off of global warming hysteria, is out today at the Huffington Post with an article solemnly announcing that there is "no time to waste" when it comes to dealing with climate change.  So here's the former vice president who has made an estimated $300 million in profits out of the "fight" against global warming once again stirring the fear of climate change.  Each time people get upset, Al makes another few million dollars from one or another of his schemes.  But there's a problem.  Twelve years ago, Al Gore told all of us that unless we acted immediately, by 2012, the ice in the Arctic would be gone.  Actually, this year, there was more ice in the Arctic than there was when Gore first warned us that it would disappear.  Twelve years ago, Gore told us that if we did not act at once, the polar bears would become extinct as their habitat was destroyed by warming.  Actually, as of today, there are about 50% more polar bears than there were when Gore made his announcement.  Twelve years ago, Gore told us that the Earth was warming at such a rapid rate that by today, the average temperature around the globe would be two degrees Celsius higher than it was when he spoke.  Actually, average global temperatures have stayed roughly the same; in fact in 2013, the average temperature on Earth was slightly lower than it was in 2002 when Gore made his announcements.  There's more examples like these, but the point is a simple one.  At best, Gore really has no understanding or knowledge about the climate of the Earth and what affects it.  At worst, Gore is a phony who has been helping to create hysteria in order to make a profit from it.  You will have to make your own decision about Gore and his intentions.  In making that decision, consider that Gore has a bigger carbon footprint than nearly everyone you know.  Does he really believe that carbon dioxide is bad?  You decide.
