Ignoring and Denying Reality

The response to yesterday's news that the FBI has widened its investigation of Hillary Clinton to now include questions of the legality of her actions as Secretary of State in response to donations to the Clinton Foundation has been astounding.

Let's start with Hillary herself.  She was asked about the story in a meeting with newspaper editors yesterday.  She denounced it as "unsourced" and then said that she knew it was absolutely untrue.  That was all; no one asked how she knew that and the conversation moved on.  The problem, of course, is that anyone familiar with how federal criminal investigations are conducted well knows that the FBI would never tell Hillary (as the target of the investigation) that they had expanded the scope of that investigation.  In other words, this is just another of Hillary's convenient lies.  She doesn't know whether or not the news story is correct, but she claims it is wrong nevertheless.  Why is it with Democrats that truth is "inconvenient" (just ask Al Gore) but lies are so "convenient" (ask Hillary)?

Then there's the mainstream media.  As of this morning, none of the networks except for Fox News which broke the story have even mentioned this subject.  Now imagine the reaction from these same networks if the story were that the FBI had expanded its investigation of any Republican candidate.  It would be non-stop coverage.  MSNBC might even suspend broadcasting of commercials so that it could be full time coverage round the clock.

We have queen Hillary denying reality and her courtiers in the media ignoring reality.  What a sad state America has reached.
