Last night, I posted about Yang and Bennet departing the Dems' presidential contest. After that, Deval Patrick announced that he too was leaving the race. I didn't want to have this guy drop out without noting it. It's worth pointing out that Patrick got more media coverage today for dropping out that he ever did during the campaign.

Yang is Out; So Is Bennet -- For Old Joe and Warren It's Just a Matter of Time
Let me start with the big news: senator Bennet of Colorado dropped out of the Democrat race for president tonight. Oh, the horror! Okay, so no one actually knew that Bennet was running. Andrew Yang dropped out too. The Yang Gang is gone. And remember, as of the moment with 70% of the NH vote counted, Yang got more votes than Tulsi Gabbard or Tom Steyer. Shouldn't they be dropping out too? Do Gabbard and Steyer really think that winning 2% of the total vote is enough? That can't be; they're not idiots.
And how about Joe Biden? Here's a guy who was the media proclaimed front runner for the last year. Poll after poll has Biden in the lead across the nation. In NH, he finished fifth and couldn't even get 10% of the total vote. That's not bad; it's much much worse than bad. It's a soul crushing defeat. It's the kind of defeat that could only be inflicted by a platoon of lying dog faced pony soldiers. And remember Biden did really poorly in Iowa too. Maybe Biden will try to hang on until he wins in South Carolina. But what if the Biden vote in SC collapses? At that point, Biden can withdraw from the race and move directly to the home.
And let's not forget Elizabeth Warren. She's from Massachusetts. More than half the folks who voted today in NH get their local news from Boston and they see Warren on TV all the time. They know her. She also couldn't break 10%. If she can't get her neighbors to vote for her, how is she going to win in places like Alabama or Montana or Ohio? It seems her true nature of being a total phony has broken through and was recognized by the NH voters.
None of these candidates are going anywhere. At least Yang and Bennet had the guts to recognize reality.

It's hysterical if you think about it for a moment. The Vox "expert" tells us what went wrong for Warren. The truth is that this moron has no idea what happened. Instead of writing a 3000 word article, he could have just said, "No one likes her."
I mean just think about the prospect of sitting down with Elizabeth Warren at a dinner table. Would you want to eat with her? Would you want to hear all her negative views, all of her endless anger, all of her attacks on people who haven't done anything wrong but go about their daily life trying to do the best for their families? I know I wouldn't.
So if Warren is unappealing as a person, how in the world did anyone think she could win the election. After all, few things in life are more revealing of the true nature of a person than a run for the White House. They had to know that the inner Warren would come out and that everyone would then run for the hills.
To be fair, those angry leftists who are just a sour on life as Warren would probably still like her. There just aren't enough of those poor souls for Warren to win.

Does Today's Vote Really Interest You?
I just heard yet another report about how today is the NH primary. Soon we'll know if Old Joe Biden is falling to 5th place, or if Amy Klobuchar really has "Klomentum". We'll find out if not only was Elizabeth Warren a phony Cherokee, but if her supposed voters were actually phony voters. We can learn if NH Dems want an angry old socialist who is hiding his medical records or an inexperienced young guy who never seems to actually answer a question.
But guess what? I really don't care which one of these bozos wins the primary. Similarly, I don't care if Mini-Mike buys a win or two on Super Tuesday. I know that I ought to care. After all, one of these fools could end up as president of the USA, but I just don't believe it. The American people are not as stupid as the Dems think we are.

Is It Iowa Again?
This morning CBS News reported on the results of the vote in Dixville Notch, NH in the Democrat primary. According to CBS, Bloomberg got three write in votes, Bernie Sanders got one vote and Pete Buttigieg got one vote. Okay, that's not very important. But then I looked at the NY Post report on the voting in Dixville Notch. The Post reported 25 votes in the Democrat primary, not 5 like CBS. That's also okay because the Post reported the results for the three towns in northern NH that vote at midnight; Dixville Notch is just one of the three. The Post reported that Amy Klobuchar got 8 votes in the three towns. Bloomberg got two write in votes in those towns. Huh? Bloomberg couldn't get three votes in Dixville Notch but only two in three towns including Dixville Notch unless the Iowa Democrats were doing the count. Something is obviously wrong.
Normally, I would just attribute all this to sloppy reporting. After Iowa and all the Fake News of the last three years, I'm not so sure. Could CBS have decided to try to help Bloomberg by inflating his total and just reporting part of the results so as to give Bloomberg a symbolic win? It truly wouldn't surprise me.

the Oscars -- 2
Well the ratings for the Oscars are in. They were worse than terrible. The Oscarcast had the lowest ratings ever, and it wasn't even close. Compared to last year's snoozefest, this years Oscars were down 20% in viewers.

Last night the Academy Awards show was telecast across America. I didn't watch. That's no big deal; I haven't watched the Oscars in decades. It seems to me, though, that no one I know watched that ceremony. Who needs to see self important actors in formal attire telling us how the rest of us should live? I bet that the ratings were terrible.
