Okay, so I am awaiting the statement condemning the threats against the Republican senators in Wisconsin. Each senator received e-mails today that began: "Please put your things in order because you will be killed and your familes will also be killed due to your actions in the last 8 weeks." The e-mails then go on to describe how the murders will take place.
Remember the hysteria in the media when Sarah Palin was blamed for having a map with targets for congressional pickups on her web site? Well now there is not some far fetched tie between a map and violence; there is an actual full throated threat made by the left against legislators. Will we see condemnation tonight by Rachel Maddow? Will all fourteen people who watch Chris Matthews hear him railing against the senseless and violent threats made against the Republican legislators. Will president Obama tell people that they need to tone it down with these threats? Will the story make it onto the evening news at CBS, NBC or ABC? Clearly, these threats are much more serious than a map on the Palin website.
Here's a little advice: don't hold your breath waiting for any of the above to happen. After all, the target is a group of Republicans, so there is no need to take it seriously if you are a liberal.
