The Media Doesn't Understand Joe Manchin

 I saw yet another article this afternoon about how Nancy Pelosi hopes to back Joe Manchin into a corner so that he will have to vote for the ridiculous 6 trillion dollars extra spending bill being pushed by the left.  Clearly, the people who writes such pieces are morons, and that's being kind.  Manchin is a senator from West Virginia.  His vote is crucial if the Dems are to pass their crazy spending bill. The problem for the Dems, though, is that West Virginia is an extremely Republican state.  Trump's margin there was almost 40% in 2020.  There are no statewide Democrat office holders aside from Manchin.  

The idea that Pelosi would think that causing upset for the Democrats in WV would motivate Manchin is preposterous.  Manchin won election bevause he was not a typical Dem and would not tolerate their nonsense is what got him elected.  He knows that.  So does Pelosi.  

Is Biden Falling Apart??

 Old Joe Biden has been in office for about 4.5 months.  That's approaching 10% of his term.  The Democrats have control of Congress, although that control is by a narrow margin.  So what has Biden and his party accomplished and what is likely to come next?

Clearly, Biden's biggest achievement was passing a massive spending bill in the guise of COVID recovery.  Some of the spending was indeed directed at COVID.  Americans got stimulus checks from the federal government and that will and has boosted the economy.  The unemployed got extended increased payments each week due to COVID caused unemployment.  Of course, that led to a worker shortage as people found it more profitable to stay at home and get about the same from unemployment benefits as they got from working.  Indeed, a large number of states led by Republicans governors have now ended the increased unemployment benefits.  The result has been astounding.  The unemployment rate in states with Republican governors is more than a full 2 percentage points less than the rate in Democrat led states.  In many places, that is due to states opening back up more quickly under Republican governors than under Democrats.  A good comparison is New York and Florida which have comparable populations.  The unemployment in NY is among the highest in the nation.  In Florida, it is much, much lower.  But let's get back to the supposed COVID relief bill.  Biden and the Dems sent hundreds of billions to states to bail them out from reckless spending.  Of course, the states that needed help were all large Democrat led states that spent huge amounts and then spent more.  Republican led states like Texas didn't need the help.  The Dems even banned states from lowering taxes due to the federal largesse.  They couldn't have more people flee from NY or CA or IL to the lower taxes of states like FL or TX.  The COVID bill also gave a major gift to the teachers' unions who worked so diligently to keep the kids from getting the in-person education that they need.

But what else has Biden accomplished?  American foreign policy is in shambles.  Biden has made overtures to Iran and gotten the Ayatollah's raised middle finger in response.  Biden rejoined the Paris accords as if that meaningless agreement will make any change with regard to the climate.  He's also watched while the crime rate across America has soared.  Murder is up over 60% this year compared to last year.  Most of that increase is in the big Democrat led cities.  So far, Biden has done nothing to try to stop the increase.  All we have heard is the usual Democrat mantra about the need for gun control.  They have yet to address how keeping guns out of the hands of normal citizens will stop well armed criminals from committing murder.

And let's not forget the mess at the border.  Trump had managed to get the flow of illegals into the USA to drop by more than 75% while in office.  In just 4 months, Biden has brought the number of illegals entering the country right back up to where it was when Obama left office.  At the same time, Biden is keeping kids in cages at detention facilities but blocking any media that wants to cover the story from access to these sites.  Biden is also proposing that all illegals get full benefits from the government without any limitation.  One can only imagine what the average person in Central America thinks when he or she hears that by coming to the USA illegally, they can get free medical care, housing assistance, welfare, phones, and the like.  Any sane person would leave immediately for the southern border.

Biden has been talking about what he calls an infrastructure bill, although it mostly leaves our most things that are traditionally considered infrastructure (like roads, bridges, etc.)  No, Biden now has infrastructure being composed of more government welfare payments.  This seems likely to fail, although one never knows.

Then there are Biden's schemes to raise all sorts of taxes.  There are direct raises, like increasing the tax rate on American companies so that it will be harder for them to compete with China and other countries.  There are also indirect increases like Biden's efforts to stop production of oil and gas with the result that gas prices have soared, thereby taxing each person in the USA who uses a car.  Just think what the increase in the gas price from $2.50 per gallon to $4.00 has done to you.

Biden ran dishonestly as a moderate.  In the first four months, he's governed as an totally incompetent version of Alexandria Ocasio Cortes and her socialist crew.  It hasn't gone well.

It will be interesting to see if Biden is able to shift course to one more acceptable to the American majority.  I doubt it.  It's early still, but I predict that barring a major change by the Dems, Biden will spend the second half of his first term dealing with a large Republican majority in the House and a Senate again under Republican control.

How Dare The Israelis Defend against terror attacks!!!!!

 The usual leftist morons and liars are at it again. Israel has been defending itself against unprovoked terror attacks by Hamas in every major Israeli city. The lefts response is to side with the terrorists and call the Israeli response “genocide”.  The US media — ever the servant of the left— is presenting the story as if there’s no right or wrong involved. Imagine The NY Times eXplaining in 1941 after Pearl Harbor that the US needed to curtail any response to an unprovoked Japanese surprise attack that killed 3000.  No way. When Hamas terrorists launch thousands of missiles at Israel, though, the Times wants restraint and no response. It’s disgusting that the left is so blinded by ideology and anti Semitism that they can’t see the actual reality. 

And let’s not forget the buffoon in chief, Old Joe himself, who is “even handed” rather than supporting our ally which has been attacked by Islamic terrorists. 

Just over 100 days and we get THIS

 In just the two weeks, these items have happened:

1.  A large group of Iranian gunboats came out an "swarmed" six US Navy ships in the Persian Gulf.  The American ships fired warning shots, but did nothing to actually stop the Iranians from their dangerous harassment.  It was Iran's way of telling the USA to go stuff it regarding the supposed negotiations underway with the mullahs.

2.  The Palestinian terror group Hamas instigated rioting in certain Arab neighborhoods in Jerusalem.  Then they issued an ultimatum to Israel to stop dealing with the rioting.  Then Hamas used all this as an excuse to launch a massive missile barrage from Gaza against Jerusalem, Tel Aviv and many other Israeli cities.  Many have been injured despite Israel's anti-missile systems.  There have also been deaths from the missile strikes.  In response, Israel launched attacks against Hamas military targets in the Gaza strip.  So far, the USA has done nothing about this terror attack.  The Biden administration has, however, issued a call for "de-escalation".

3.  Since Biden became president, more than twice the number of illegals have crossed the Southern border of the USA than was the case in the last twelve months of the Trump administration, and the numbers a growing each month.  That means that in April, the numbers crossing the border illegally was more than 8 times the average of such crossings during 2020.  Biden has done nothing about this surge except to say that there is no problem at the border.  On this subject, Biden doesn't even tell believable lies.

4.  A group of hackers from Russia took control of the pipeline system that brings 40% of the fuel needed on the East Coast.  The USA has done nothing in response.  Biden has not even called out the Russians.

We're back where we were when Obama was president.  The USA is a laughing stock.  Our enemies understand that we will do nothing to protect ourselves or help our allies. .Meanwhile, the crazies in Biden's party push for even more bizarre responses to these problems.  For example, Ilhan Omar, the Minnesota Democrat who is famous for marrying her brother and raising copious campaign cash that she then paid to her husband for "campaign services", said that the Israelis' attacks on Hamas launched in response to literally hundreds of missile attacks by Hamas on Israeli civilians was "genocide".  I gues that for Omar, any Israeli defense is unacceptable.

Whatever one thought of Trump, there is no question that his foreign policy was much more successful than this.  Iran didn't launch attacks on the USA when Trump was in office cause the mullahs knew that there would be a swift and overpowering response.  Also Hamas didn't launch these terrible terror attacks on Israel, because the terrorists knew that America would offer total support to the Israelis.  Similarly, the Russians didn't launch major cyber attacks on America.

We have another 3 and 2/3 years left of Biden and his buffoons.  God help the USA.

The Lies Have It

 Joe Biden actually said this week that the $1.9 trillion "COVID relief" package passed some six weeks ago is responsible for the American economic "recovery" and the media didn't even comment on that lie.  I call it a lie because Aside from the first part of the stimulus checks that went out electronically, none -- NONE-- of the items in the COVID relief package have yet been put into action.  In other words, less than 10% of the package has been carried out.  There's literally no way that this could have had much effect.  In addition, most of the economic data at the moment is from March or earlier.  April hasn't ended yet.  That means that the vast bulk of the data which shows whether or not the economy has "recovered" deals with a period BEFORE the relief package was even passed.  

The point is that there is no way to honestly credit the COVID package with the current status of the economy.  No way!  None!

This is not difficult to understand, but the media just ignores the blatant lying by the president.   

Cuomo Officially Done

 In the Spring of 2020 when COVID first hit the USA mostly in NY, I kept writing about the thousand who were dying in New York’s nursing homes because of the crazy policies of governor Cuomo who ordered the nursing homes to accept infected patients. The governor’s order spread the virus to elderly and weak patients who dropped like flies. Something like 14,000 died in two months. The media ignored the stories and instead made Cuomo a “hero”of the pandemic.  

When Biden took office, suddenly the Cuomo story resurfaced when the state AG disclosed a cover up by Cuomo and his people. Still the media kept the story on the down low.  That ended today. The NY Times now has done an expose of the cover up by Cuomo.  

What that means is Cuomo is toast

Biden Likely Blows up the Trial in Minnesota

 The trial about the death of George Floyd has likely been finally poisoned by Biden.  It was bad enough when Maxine Waters threatened the jurors if they ruled the wrong way.  She's just a crazy old congressman from California.  Her words led the trial judge to say that there may have to be a mistrial.  Now the jerky president of the USA has told the country that the police officer is guilty and needs to be convicted by the jury.  There's no way that news like that can be kept out of the jury room.  The officer was just denied a fair trial.

I know that Biden finished last in his class in law school.  Even so, he must have learned that the accused is entitled to a fair trial or he goes free.  Does Biden really want to have riots when that happens?  It sure seems so.
