The death toll in the Syrian fighting is now approaching 40,000 according to the UN observers. Most reporters, however, believe that mark was breached long ago as the killing and destruction continues unabated. Today's big attack was a suicide bombing at an installation of the Assad regime in which about 40 in the Assad security forces were killed or wounded. An affiliate of al Qaeda took responsibility for the blast.
Just imagine, we have al Qaeda forces committing suicide to kill the forces of Assad who is allied with the Iranians. It is crazy evil guys killing other crazy evil guys. The problem is that innocent civilians are also dying.
Maybe we could work out a solution where all the fanatics in Syria go to one place and kill each other without harming the civilian population.
