In the Strange News of the Day category, there's a poll of Democrats in Nevada released today in which New York Mayor Bill DeBlasio got 2% of the vote. That's by far his highest score to date in any poll. Normally, he comes in at less than 1%. For example, in the recent poll at the Iowa State Fair, Mayor Bill got less than one tenth of one percent of the vote. That's less than one vote out of every thousand voters.
I guess there are a lot of former New Yorkers in Nevada who look on the mayor of their old town an get nostalgic. Either than, or there is a lot of money changing hands to affect the poll results.
DeBlasio is a joke. He's not even in the top five finishers in the polling in his own state. Yesterday, he fired the policemen who was investigated in connection with the choke hold death of Eric Garner. The policeman was investigated in four separate investigations and was cleared in each one. Good old Billy DeBlasio, however, decided that even though the cop followed the departmental rules, he needed to be fired to satisfy the mob. It's rather sad.
I guess it's good that DeBlasio is running for President. At least it keeps him out of New York.
