That's What They Offered

Normally, the words "that's what they offered" would not be seen as an insult.  At last night's Democrat town hall on CNN, those words were an incredible insult to the American people.

Let me put this in context.  At the town hall, Anderson Cooper asked Hillary Clinton about the three speeches she made to Goldman Sachs for which she was paid nearly seven hundred thousand dollars.  Cooper pointed to the fact that Bernie Sanders criticizes Hillary for being indebted to the Wall Street banks because she took so much cash from them.  After some initial back and forth, Hillary Clinton justified taking nearly three quarters of a million dollars from Wall Street behemoth Goldman Sachs by saying, "That's what they offered."

So why is this an insult?  It's simple.  Hillary Clinton actually thinks that Americans are stupid enough to accept that she had nothing to do with setting the price for her three speeches.  She wants us to believe that the bankers just offered her a fortune for three hours of work and she just naively accepted.

No one is that naïve, and Hillary and naïve are certainly words that have not appeared in the same sentence for at least 50 years.  But Hillary just lies and lies and lies and she continually acts as if we are all just too stupid to recognize reality.

Is there anyone who believes that if Clinton is elected president, that Goldman Sachs won't come around for "favors" that it bought with all those speaking fees?  Even the thought of that is ridiculous.
