Trump's Latest Move Is A Dud

According to reports, Scott Brown is going to endorse Donald Trump tonight in New Hampshire.  That's a pretty paltry way for Trump to try to get back the momentum for his campaign.

For those who may not recall, Brown ran won a special election to the senate from Massachusetts in 2010 after Edward Kennedy passed away.  He lost in the regular election in 2012.  Two years later, he tried to get back in the senate, that time running as a Republican in New Hampshire.  That year, 2014, was the best year in the recent past for the GOP.  Of ten closely fought races, the Republicans won nine and gained the majority of the senate.  The only closely fought race that the GOP lost was, you guessed it, in New Hampshire where Brown lost.

Normally, most endorsements make little difference in elections.  Just look at the endorsement of Trump by Sarah Palin in Iowa.  Getting an endorsement from a senator from another state who tried and failed to win a New Hampshire election means next to nothing.
