Want to read an insightful piece of reporting? Try reading the report by the New York Times' reporters Maggie Haberman and Mark Landler that says that President Trump asked Chief of Staff John Kelly for help in removing his daughter Ivanka and her husband Jared Kushner from the White House staff. It's hard to imagine a more idiotic bit of reporting. Think about it. The President is obviously very close with his daughter and admires her greatly. One can easily see his pride in her accomplishments whenever she speaks with him in the audience. This is not a strained relationship or one with any difficulty in it at all. Is it possible that President Trump wants Ivanka and Jared to leave their posts and go back to New York? Sure, although I doubt it. Is it possible that the President decided to enlist general Kelly into some sort of subterfuge to force Ivanka and Jared to leave? No way. If Trump wanted the two to leave, he would ask them himself. It's his daughter after all.
And where did this story come from? The sources, of course, are all anonymous. If President Trump wanted some secret help in getting rid of Jared or Ivanka, he certainly wouldn't want that to become public. He would not tell anyone else. Kelly is unlikely to have leaked this either. He would know that his days were numbered if the story (if it were true-- which it is not) were to become public. So neither of the two people who supposedly had this conversation would have leaked it. The ridiculous nature of the story doesn't seem to have bothered Haberman or Landler. After all, it was their chance to write another anti-Trump story. Who cares about minor items like the clear lack of truth in what they wrote?
This story is a wonderful example of the total idiocy in the mainstream media. The media would rather write a phony anti-Trump story than do its job and check the accuracy of what it is writing.
