The Obama Budget -- part 2

I think that there is a part of Obama's budget message that needs to be highlighted. With regard to energy, Obama's budget promotes his goal of having 1 million electric vehicles on the road by 2015 and doubling the portion of US electricity coming from clean energy sources by 2035. The enormity of this cannot be missed. For all the ballyhoo from Obama and the Obamacrats about green energy like wind and solar, they recognize that the portion of our national electric power that will come from such sources will only double in 25 years -- AND THAT IS THE GOAL! Right now, much less than 5% of the total comes from such sources, so the goal will still leave over 90% of our electricity comeing from coal, oil, nuclear and natural gas. Despite that, Obama and the Obamacrats are taking steps that will drive the cost of energy from coal and oil much higher. They are also preventing the development of any new nuclear plants. Indeed, they also threaten the natural gas industry. If they realize that in 25 years, over 90% of our energy will still come from these sources, then they must realize that they are driving our economy not just into a ditch, but over a cliff. If energy costs in the USA are sky high, we will not be able to compete in a global economy. This has to be the single most suicidal administration ever.
