Olbermann goes to Current TV

Keith Olbermann has inked a deal to become news director of Current TV, a little watched cable network that was founded by Al Gore about five years ago. KO will host a nightly news program and will also get an equity stake in the company. Hard to imagine, isn't it?

Having Olbermann as "news" director is like hiring Heidi Fleiss as head chaperone at a girls prep school. Based upon his old MSNBC show, Olbermann's acquaintance with news is non-existant.

There is something truly appropriate about Gore having Olbermann in his employ. KO is a master at propaganda and Gore needs help there now that the global warming stuff is collapsing of its own weight.

A friend of mine is very taken with the description of a stock as "where money goes to die." Olbermann's new show seems to me aptly described as where truth and information go to die. My guess is that no one will watch anyway.
