The horror in Las Vegas is still unclear. We know that there are 50 or more people dead and hundreds injured. Police have identified the likely shooter, although that is not yet confirmed. There seems to be no motive. The media is busy trying to put the guy into one category or another. I've seen him literally described as "an angry old white man." I've also seen him described as a strong supporter of Hillary Clinton. Then there's his "companion" who appears to be an old black woman, although there's no word yet on whether or not she is angry. On social media, the gun control people are already starting their rants. It's terrible, but we've seen it before.
I want to make a plea to all those who want to use this event for political purposes. Stop. Don't do it. Let's take a few days to mourn the event without politics. There are too many innocent victims. Just this once, put politics aside.
