Writing in the Detroit News, Nolan Finley says: "These Democrats in Indiana and Wisconsin [who have run away to avoid a vote] merit universal condemnation. What they are saying is that the people no longer have the right to use the ballot box to decide the direction of their government."
No matter what one's point of view, there is no way validly to argue with the merits of this statement.
