The Herman Cain Press Conference

After the non-stop circus about the allegations of sexual harrassment made against Herman Cain, the candidate held a news conference this afternoon to deal with these charges. I have to say that Cain handled the matter extremely well. He was forceful and direct and, most important, credible. He answered the questions from the press without ducking them in any way. My impression is that Cain was telling the truth. I do not know if this will be the end of the matter; that seems unlikely although possible. Still, the woman from Chicago who came forward earlier this week with Gloria Allred at her side does not seem credible to me. In truth, anyone in that situation who comes forward with Gloria Allred at her side would seem less credible. If there is no lawsuit and no threat of one, why does she need a high powered politically connected lawyer to make her statement? And Gloria Allred? Greg Guttfeld said it best when he noted that if Gloria Allred were a Native American, her name would be "Fingernails across the blackboard."
