The story is out today that Bill Clinton had a long affair with actress Elizabeth Hurley during his days in the White House. Clinton has not commented on the story. Hurley tweeted a denial but did not do much else. There is no way to know at the moment if the tale is true. Even so, it was nice for a moment to think of a time when scandal at the White House meant the president was seducing an intern or some other woman. Now scandals involve the IRS harassing political opponents of the president or the NSA spying on ....well, everyone, or Americans being left unprotected and being killed by terrorists in Libya, etc. Those scandals of the 1990's were much better.
