I rarely have much positive to say about president Obama, but today is an exception. I commend the president for his visit to Afghanistan to visit the American troops there. They deserve this country's thanks for doing a very difficult but necessary job.
I only wish that I did not think that Obama's visit is actually a way to try to change the subject from the VA scandal. Even so, Obama is doing the right thing with the visit (even if maybe for the wrong reason.)
