The Most Incompetent Administration Ever

Consider this:  since president Obama took office, the budget of the Department of Veterans Affairs has risen by 75%.  That's right, the VA now has an extra 75 cents for every dollar in its budget of just five years ago.  Despite that massive spending increase, veterans are being forced to wait months or even years to get the medical treatment which they were promised by Washington.  Many with conditions like cancer, diabetes and heart disease are being denied treatment while they wait for appointments that never seem to come.  As a result, many vets have died while waiting.

So here is the big question:  where did the extra 65 billion dollars go?  That $65 billion is the amount of the increase in annual spending by the VA in just the last five years.  In the entire USA, there are about 21 million veterans, but not all of them are entitled to healthcare from the VA system.  Five years ago, the number of veterans was about two million higher; it has been declining as the veterans of World War II pass away.  That means that for fewer recipients of healthcare, the VA has been spending a huge amount more but the treatment has gotten worse.  It also means that the percentage of elderly veterans who are the biggest users of healthcare has been declining dramatically while spending has soared by over 75%, but still the treatment has gotten worse.

Put this all together, and the operation of the VA system indicates that the Obama administration is the single most incompetent administration ever.  It seems inconceivable that with fewer veterans and a younger group of veterans that would require less care in total that the government could actually up spending by 75% while service deteriorated.  WHERE DID THE MONEY GO?  It is so bad, that one wonders if there is some massive corruption scandal about to break.  Will we find that billions of dollars have been funneled through the VA to friends and cronies of the administration?  I cannot think of any other explanation for the massive spending increase coupled with the lesser need and the awful care.  What will we hear next?  "The dog at my funding?"
