Kirsten Powers writing in the NY Post this morning revealed the source of this quote from an anonymous source about Blanche Lincoln's victory over Bill Halter on Tuesday: "Organized labor just flushed $10 million of their members' money down the toilet on a pointless exercise." It was Rahm Emmanuel.
Now we all know that the White House has been amateurish in dealing with the oil spill and the Sestak-Romanoff scandals. Some people think that this poor performance reveals not only Obama's inexperience and bad instincts, but also the lack of quality of his main advisers. Rahm's statement which enraged union people, a core Democrat constituency, is more proof of that lack of quality.
I like that the Democrats are flailing so badly, but it worries me greatly that they are still leading the country. We have to survive two and a half more years of these fools before adults can come back to lead the government.
It is really strange. Obama and the Obamacrats make me look back wistfully at the good old days when Democrats were mostly competent but just had sex with interns and lied about it under oath. Where is Bill Clinton when you need him.
