President Obama is now pushing in congress to limit any new unilateral sanctions against Iran. Today's LA Times reports: "The Obama administration, which labored for months to impose tough new United Nations sanctions against Iran, now is pushing in the opposite direction against Congress as it crafts U.S. sanctions that the White House fears may go too far." While it is laughable that the reporter calls the UN action "tough", the real story is that Obama and the fools around him think that the US should go easy on Iran to please other world powers. After all, why do something that might have the effect of stoppping the Iranian nuclear program when Russia might disapprove?
Going through a rocky patch with Russia is nowhere near as bad as facing an Iran armed with nukes. Once the Iranians are a nuclear power, no where will be safe. Iran's government wants world turmoil as a way of bringing back the 13th Imam. the more turmoil, the better. They believe that a nuclear war would be the perfect moment for the return of the Imam.
We need a president who has a backbone and a clear vision of what is important. Obama has to go!
