The Media Just Doesn't Get It

I shouldn't be surprised by the crazy bias in the media, but I can't help it; it's just so amazing.  Today brought another prime example.  I came across an article from the International Business Times under the following headline:

"Did Trump Start A War With China? Taiwan Controversy Explained; Trump Aides Downplay Diplomatic Faux Pas"

Think about that one for a moment.  What actually happened is that the president of Taiwan called Trump to congratulate him on his election, and Trump took the call.  It's not a "diplomatic faux pas".  It's just a common courtesy.  Trump knows that China does not want America to admit that a separate Taiwan nation exists, but that shouldn't control what the USA does.  Obama would not have taken the call, but Trump did.

I can understand the media pushing the view that Trump taking the call was a mistake; that's a policy debate.  What I don't get is the claim that Trump is starting a war with China.  For the last two weeks, the media has been lamenting the existence of "fake news" and how it swung the election against Hillary.  So now taking a phone call is being called a declaration of war?  What is that if not fake news?

I wonder if they even realize that they are doing this.
