The AP is reporting this afternoon that steps to be taken over the weekend could result in the end of oil gushing into the gulf. The well will not be shut off, but all of the oil coming out will be picked up by either the cap and retrieval system or ships that suck up the oil.
I have to ask the question. Why did it take so long. How could the government be this disorganized. What took so long for there to be a better cap put in place. The well was "capped" almost a month ago. Why did it take until now for the better cap?
