The head of NASA, Charles Bolden recently told Al Jazeera that President Obama gave him three principal missions for the space agency, one of which was outreach to the Muslim world. This story has been covered extensively on Fox, but as of yesterday, none of ABC, CBS, NBC, the New York Times or the Washington Post had mentioned it.
How can that be? The head of the space agency is tasked with outreach to foreign countries and the main stream media do not mention this! there are two scandals here: First, how can Obama take a science agency and put it to work doing outreach to Muslims? I thought that is what the State Department was for. why are we spending billions on NASA if it is only doing outreach?
Second, how can the media stand by and let this story go unmentioned? We have been in the middle of a debate about the extent of spending by Washington for over a year now. Surely, the public deserves to know that NASA is now spending billions on outreach to Muslim countries. Where is the media?
