The lame duck session --scare strategy or fact

Articles are starting to appear containing claims that if the Dems lose control of Congress in November, they will come back for a lame duck session in December to pass card check, cap and trade and a budget resolution to lock in higher spending, among other things.

I cannot tell if this is just a scare tactic by Republicans or a real threat. If the Dems actually move ahead like that to thwart the will of the American people who have turned them out, it will hurt them for a generation in my opinion. Of course, the Dems passed healthcare with the public totally opposed, so it would not be beyond the pale for them to go ape as lame ducks.

The Republicans in the Senate ought to be able to filibuster away the session if need be, however. Let's hope that they would so act.
