In a totally expected outcome, Obama's Jobs bill was killed by the Senate today. The bill will now be broken into its component parts and some will be passed. For example, part of Obama's program is passage of the free trade pacts with Colombia, South Korea and Panama. These should have no trouble gaining passage. Of course, the passage of these agreements is ironic to put it mildly. The agreements were negotiated under the Bush administration. When Obama took office, he removed the agreements from consideration and held them for nearly three years. Now he is proposing their passage as a way to boost the economy and create jobs. Where has he been for three years?
The truth is that Obama's economic program is a snafu and has been a snafu since the day he took office.
