ABC News is touting its big exclusive: Barbara Walters went to Damascus and interviewed Syrian president and mass murderer Bashir Assad. ABC should be ashamed to give Assad a platform to spout his lies. We all know that over 4000 people have been gunned down by Syrian forces loyal to Assad. We also know that Assad is going to blame foreign forces for causing the uprising. He will also tell us about all the poor Syrian troops who have been killed by these sinister forces. Of course, none of that is true. I know this, you know it and ABC News knows it.
My guess is that ABC News sent Walters because they wanted her also to ask Assad about who he thinks will win the Oscars this year. Not to be outdone, word in New York is that the ladies of the View are also going to Damascus. Their plan is to have Assad agree to an on air style makeover. Then PBS is putting Assad on the new Sesame Street episodes.
