Obama's Fairness

President Obama's speech in Kansas is supposed to be a clarion call to energize and give direction to his campaign according to his campaign. Obama is now calling for "fairness" for all Americans. Everyone is to have an equal chance and everyone is to do his share for the country according to Obama's rhetoric. It sounds nice, doesn't it? Then you look back at Obama's conduct and realize what he actually means. If everyone is to get an equal chance, why is it that essentially all the big government grants and investments in solar and wind power projects went to companies comprised of big fundraisers for Obama? Is fairness only meant to cover Obama's cronies? Has Obama's Washington taken pay to play to new heights? And what about Obama's push for everyone to do his or her part? Why does that mean that the successful folks in the country get villified by Obama? Are the people who create jobs somehow at fault for the failures of Obama's economic policies to work? Was it the rich who spent nearly a trillion dollars on a stimulus that the non-partisan Congressional Budget Office says is a net drag on the American economy? Where are the t-shirts that say "Obama spent a trillion dollars and all I got was this lousy t-shirt"? Of course, if you were an Obama fund raiser, you got a lot out of the stimulus.

The truth is that Obama does not care about fairness; he only cares about his re-election. If he is successful in that effort, all the rhetoric of the campaign will vanish just like the promises of 2008 did. Remember those? Transparency in government -- try telling that to the folks who want to know about operation Fast and Furious or any other thing done by the Obamacrats. Then there is going through the budget line by line to cut out the waste -- I almost could not type that one since I was laughing so hard. How about closing Guantanamo? How many times were we told that Guantanamo was the biggest thing used by Al Qaeda for recruiting? But it is still open, isn't it; and Obama no longer says he will close it. The list goes on, but you get the picture. Reality not rhetoric ought to be the force that determines voting in 2012. If that happens, Obama is toast.
