Obama and Biden are delusional

Two stories in today's news with regard to the Middle East make clear that on that subject our president and vice president are delusional.

First let's look at Biden. Here is the summary of Biden's statements today in Iraq. "US Vice President Joe Biden said on Thursday he had no indication the attack on the British embassy in Tehran was orchestrated by Iranian authorities". Do you all understand what Joe B just said? The British embassy gets attacked by a crowd composed of Iranian militia in civilian clothes; the local Teheran police make no attempt to stop the attack; the Iranian military units on station outside the embassy also make no attempt to stop the attack; the government of Iran neither apologizes for the attack or even says that it will do what can be done to prevent a reoccurence; and the Iranian government criticizes the UK for ordering the Iranian diplomats out of Britain after the British diplomats flee Iran. I know that intelligence is not the strong suit of Joe Biden (he used to be known as the dumbest man in the senate), but even an idiot can understand that the attack took place in cahoots with the government.

Even better than the Biden statement is the one from Obama. Last night in Manhattan Obama attended a fundraiser at the home of Jack Rosen, chair of the American Jewish Congress. Rosen mentioned in introducing Obama that there has been some unease in the Jewish community about the state of relations between the USA and Israel. (A good example of this "unease" was the recent vote in the ninth district of New York special election where Jews voted for the Republican candidate by over 12% because of anger over Obama's treatment of Israel.) Here is what Obama said in response: "I try not to pat myself too much on the back, but this administration has done more for the security of the state of Israel than any previous administration. We don’t compromise when it comes to Israel’s security … and that will continue.”

The enormity of the lie in Obama's statement is extreme even for him: First, Obama always pats himself on the back no matter what the subject. Second, the Obama administration has done less for Israel than any administration that I can recall. I do remember the Nixon administration that sent a massive resupply effort to Israel during the 1973 war. I do remember the efforts of the Bush administration to stand with and support Israel during the intifada terror attacks in 2001 and thereafter. I remember the major efforts put in by Bill Clinton to try to get a final agreement between Israel and the Palestinians in negotiations at Camp David at the end of his term. I even remember the anti-semite Jimmy Carter hosting the conference that finally brought peace between Israel and Egypt. I do not remember Obama doing anything positive for Israel at all. Obama put the issue of "settlements" on the table and let it be used as an excuse to stop all negotiation between Israel and the Palestinians. Obama told Israel to return to the 1967 borders with a few land swaps, a move that would mean the death of the Israeli state. Obama discusses with other world leaders how much he dislikes the Israeli prime minister. Obama shows total disrespect to the head of the Israeli government by treating him in a way that America should never treat the head of state of another country.

I wonder if Obama actually believes what he said at this fundraiser. The choice is not a good one for the country. Obama is either a pathological liar or he is totally delusional. I believe him to be both.

The worst thing that ever happened to Israel was during the Bush Administration going into Iraq and taking out Saddam Hussein. We eliminated the buffer to Iran in the Middle East namely Iraq. My brother in law laments how bad Obama has been for Israel. The fact is that Bush was much worse in spite of his outward support for Israel.
