Staging The Riots

Have you noticed that every time something happens in Portland or Kenosha or Chicago or Minneapolis or any of the other Democrat run cities where there have been riots or protests or whatever you want to call them, there are always five or ten people who just happen to be taking video of the event.  There were multiple videos of the events with Kyle Rittenhouse the other night.  There were multiple tapes of the killing of the Trump supporter the following night.  There are countless tapes of arson, looting, assaults, attempted murder and all manner of crimes.  Two nights ago, there were videos of the Antifa/BLM people throwing things from a bridge over a freeway on top of a caravan of pro-Trump people coming to show support for the President.

Think about that.  The people in the riots so crave the attention that the crimes bring that they are filming themselves in the act of attempted murder.  If one of those heavy objects had hit the windshield of a trung on the freeway and caused a crash, that is the charge that would be brought.  It's like these bozos are chanting "Hey, look at me!  I'm committing a felony."

These same people would never intentionally provide to police evidence of a crime that they had committed, but they have no problem taking video of the commission of a crime and posting it on the internet.  I would ask whether they've lost their minds, but the answer is so clear that there is no point in asking the question.

It seems as if these thugs think that they are untouchable.  The police and the prosecutors will never come after them, or so they think.  Hopefully, the DOJ will find charges that can be filed against most of these people and they will get an all expense paid vacation in some nearby federal penitentiary.  Just getting these people off the streets will make America a safer place.

I support the right of peaceful protest.  That doesn't mean the right to disrupt the lives of others.  Sitting on an interstate is not okay with me.  Forcing the closure of buildings is not okay with me.  Picketing, however, as obnoxious as it may be is a right that all Americans have.  That even included pro-life demonstrators who may picket in front of abortion clinics.

Crime, however, cannot be condoned.  It's just that simple.  And people who stage criminal acts in an organized way really cannot be tolerated.

Remember, there's a statute that helped destroy the mafia in the USA.  It's called the RICO Act.  It requires individuals who participate more than once in certain "racketeering activity" as part of a criminal enterprise.  Black Lives Matter and Antifa fit the definition of "enterprises" under the scope of the RICO Act.  Those individuals who participate in multiple criminal acts as part of the riots (and film themselves to provide evidence) can be arrested under this federal statute.  Racketeering activity is specifically defined to include arson, interfering with law enforcement and many, many other things.

Someone convicted of violating the RICO act is liable for up to 20 years in prison.  The perpetrator is also liable to those damaged for three times the amount of the loss and attorney fees.  In other words, if there is evidence of people in Portland trying to set fires more than once, the feds don't have to wait for the state of Oregon to arrest and try the perpetrators.  The feds can arrest these people for violating the RICO act and get them off the streets.
