Has it really come to this?

The latest news flash from the Middle East is that Israel is being condemned for using the video showing the people on the "peace" flotilla getting ready to fight the Israelis long before they arrived on the scene. These peaceful folks are shown sharpening knives and stakes and lining up more powerful weapons for use against the Israelis. They are also shown singing popular folks songs like "Death to the Jews" and other old chestnuts of the Arab world. There is also video showing that when the Israelis approached the ships in small boats, those on board the "peace" flotilla threw stun grenades into the Israeli boats in an attack which took place long before any Israeli boarded the ships.

So why is this being condemned and why is the AP reporting the condemnation? According to the AP, this video may have been shot by journalists -- although no one knows for sure who shot it. the condemnation is for Israel using the video without the permission of the unknown person who did the filming.

It is hard to imagine that the AP would even report such a story. Video exists which proves that the "peace" flotilla was actually the source of the attacks on the high seas, not the Israelis. Since even the lies of Hamas and its supporters cannot overcome the videotaped evidence as to who attacked whom, the Israelis are attacked for using this incontrovertible proof. Imagine, the Israelis may have violated a copyright!

Too bad for the media if the truth conflicts with their initial stories of an atrocity caused by the Israelis. Too bad for Hamas and the Turks and their supporters if the truth is coming out because there is videotape. Most of all, too bad for all of us since we have such fools running major news gathering organizations.
