Donna Brazile is out with her new book that tells, among other things, her experiences running the DNC during the 2016 campaign. Brazile documents how she found out that Hillary Clinton and her campaign were taking the bulk of the cash raised for the party long before she had the nomination, indeed long before the first caucus in Iowa. The Clinton campaign then funded the DNC but in exchange got control over all manner of decisions, even staffing and press releases. Brazile claims that she told Bernie Sanders of this in September of 2016 and even cried after she got off that call. She was just soooo upset that Hillary and her campaign had so much control of the party which she thought extremely inappropriate.
There's only one possible response to this story: Gimme a break! Donna Brazile is the same person who got the questions for a debate on CNN between Clinton and Sanders and fed them to the Clinton campaign. She had no problem cheating in Hillary's favor against Sanders in that instance, but now she claims to be horrified that Hillary and her campaign rigged the DNC in Hillary's favor.
This is a classic after-the-fact CYA move by Brazile. Maybe she was the one at the DNC who approved the payment to Fusion GPS for the Trump dossier and is now trying to prepare the ground before that news leaks. We don't know that, but it surely wouldn't surprise me.
