In today's Washington Examiner, there is an article reporting that there are 12 million more registered Democrats than registered Republicans in states that require registration by party. The reporter says this is grounds for concern by the GOP for its prospects in November.
A lead of 12 million registered voters sounds ominous, doesn't it? But there's a bit more news that one needs to know before one can make a valid interpretation of what this all means for November. As of election day in 2016, the lead for Democrats among registered voters was close to 15 million. That's right, over the last year and a half, the Democrats have LOST close to 3 million of that 15 million voter lead. That certainly sounds a lot less ominous, doesn't it?
Why is it that the media can be bothered to do some basic research so it can report ALL the relevant facts about an item like this.
