"Mr. Obama, you are a newcomer (to politics). Wait until your sweat dries and get some experience. Be careful not to read just any paper put in front of you or repeat any statement recommended," Ahmadinejad said in the speech, aired live on state TV. "(American officials) bigger than you, more bullying than you, couldn't do a damn thing, let alone you."
This quote from Yahoo news gives the response of Iran's president Achmanutjob to Obama's new policy with regard to nuclear weapons. After the new policy was announced yesterday, there was a debate as to whether or not the policy change would embolden our adversaries or whether the new policy would lead to more civil relations with potential enemies encouraged by our more peace-like demeanor. It certainly did not take long for that dispute to be resolved. The president of Iran calls Obama naive, inexperienced and impotent. Sure sounds like he was emboldened! Will they change the policy in Washington? Oh no! In the fantasy world of Obama foreign relations, they actually believe that words speak louder than actions. That is why today the US is now dropping any mention of Islamic radicalism from our national security policy statements and will instead talk about our common interests with Islamic countries.
this new move leads me to ask one very important question: Who do they think reads US national security doctrinal statements? I would be willing to be that the number of folks in the entire Islamic world who have read such statements is less than 100. Is it those folks who we are trying to appease? Or are we just sending a message to our real adversaries that we would like to give up?
Yesterday I wondered if the USA could survive the damage wrought by Obama. Each day, however, it continues to just get worse. I reamain glum.
