Earlier today, I was listening to WCBS in New York on my car radio when the business "reporter" intoned that the perception is spreading that companies are hiring now faster than they did after the last two recessions. Wow! Happy days are here again!
I was actually appalled. How can the reported, Joe Connelly, say that companies are hiring faster when the number of unemployed went up last month, the number of jobs finally started rising but by a very small amount, and there are close to 20% of the workforce underemployed? His statements are just cheer leading for the Obama administration. Indeed, these statements fit right into the main belief of the Obamacrats: things will be fine so long as we say they will be fine -- reality is trumped by words.
Wouldn't it be nice if the media could stop taking sides and just report the news?
