Soon Obama will run out of Allies

In the last three days, the United States has taken a position that is both inexplicable and inexcusable with regard to nuclear weapons in the Middle East. The United States has supported a resolution at the UN which calls for the Middle East to be a nuclear free zone and which mentions only Israel by name, calling upon Israel to sign the nuclear non-proliferation treaty. Before the vote, the administration had assured the Israelis that the US would follow its standard position on the vote. Since the late fifties, the US has agreed that the Israelis and the area was better off if Israel maintained a vagueness about whether or not Israel had nuclear weapons. Thus, the Israelis have always taken the position that they would not be the first to introduce nuclear weapons into the Middle East (which of course, they were not, since both the US and the old USSR had nukes in subs in the area long before the Israelis got the bomb.) Today, however, not only do Israel and the USA have nuclear weapons in the area, but also Pakistan is a substantial nuclear power. The problem, however, is Iran which is quickly moving towards nuclear status while maintaining a psycho as president.
So, the US vote is a switch from long time US policy and a double cross of the Israelis. But it gets worse. The US position is also a bow to Iran in exchange for nothing. The US is in essence empowering the Iranian strategy of claiming the right to develop nukes because the Israelis have them. So not only does Obama step on an ally, but it also helps out a sworn enemy. And what, pray tell, does the US get for its efforts. Probably this: there are mullahs in Teheran who are laughing at Obama right now. Indeed, my guess is that if Obama has any problem replacing the money that he got from BP during the last election cycle, the mullahs in Iran will gladly contribute millions to his campaign in order to keep the US confused and disloyal.

Obama has got to go!
