After reading the New York Times this week, I have come to realize that the editors of the newspaper use words in a rather unusual way. I have managed to figure out the times' defiinitions as follows:
Torture -- enhanced interrogation techniques carried out during a Republican administration.
Intelligence triumphs -- making use during a Democrat administration of the fruits of enhanced interrogation techniques.
Illegal targeted assassination -- killing a specific terrorist leader during a Republican administration.
Valliant and gutsy leadership -- killing a specific terrorist leader during a Democrat administration.
If you have any other definitions, feel free to leave them in the comments section.
