Follow the bouncing....Oh wait!

There have been a number of polls released that were taken on Monday, at a point when essentially the whole country knewof the killing of Bin Laden. Three out of the four polls found an insignificant difference in president Obama's job approval numbers even after the whole Bin Laden thing was factored in. Rasmussen, Gallup and CNN found that obama's job approval went up by about one percent in the polls after the Bin Laden killing compared to what the polls were before that event. I have to say that I find these results surprising. If the numbers persist as we move forward, it will mean that Obama will get nearly no credit for the elimination of Osama Bin Laden. Now, to be clear, Bin laden was eliminated by the soldiers on the ground, but there still was a decision made to give those men the go-ahead to take out Bin Laden. The habitually cautious Obama did give that order and should get some credit for doing so. Not enought, however, to change his job approval ratings.

It will be interesting to watch to see where this goes.

His reelection will depend on the economy ... jobs jobs jobs and the price of gas. Some budget deal must be struck to stem the tide in the dollar which feeds into inflation and the price of gas which people see several times a week.
