Polling Gyrations --2

Earlier today, I wrote about that AP poll that had president Obama's approval ratings at 60%. Now we know why. At National Review on line, they posted some of the internals from the AP poll. The sample used for the poll skews 17% towards the Democrats. To put this in context, Rasmussen does a party identification of likely voters each month based upon the tens of thousands of people it interviews each month. The last such summary showed that slightly more people identified themselves as Republicans than Democrats. The AP poll had more Democrats then Republicans in it by 17%. In other words, Obama's job approval numbers are high among Democrats. No surprise there. His approval numbers are nowhere near 60% nationwide, however. The AP poll is bogus.
