Former president Jimmy Carter has written a column for the Washington Post in which he calls for the USA and the West to support the "reconciliation" between the Palestinian groups Fatah and Hamas. If you ever needed proof that this is a bad idea, Carter's full throated support for it resolves any debate. Almost since he left office, Carter has consistently sided with the enemies of Israel on every issue pertaining to peace in the Middle East. How can the US send support to a group that lamented the death of Bin Laden and that still spouts violently anti-American garbage?
