The media is reporting that House Speaker Boehner discussed a broad deal with president Obama today that would include revision of the tax code, social security and medicare changes as well as spending cuts. What a news flash! Maybe they should send out a report that today is Thursday. It is about as big news. Discussing something is not the same as agreeing to something. When there is either agreement or at least news that all but a few issues have been decided, the media can report. Otherwise, we would all do better spending out time on something productive.
