Nothing like an attack to clear the mind

After the attack by Syrian government "supporters" which was orchestrated by the Assad regime to show displeasure over the attempt by the US ambassador to protect demonstrators from slaughter, the administration finally said something negative about Assad. Secretary of State Clinton said that Assad had lost legitimacy as the president of Syria. That's it, nothing more. We saw Obama tell the world that Gaddafi had to go, but Assad just lost legitimacy. Who knows, maybe we will offer to help him look for it so that he can find it again. The Obamacrats are ridiculous in dealing with Assad. When he began killing the protesters, Clinton called him a reformer. When he continued killing his own people in droves, he was still an important part of peace in the Middle East. Even when the number of those he killed for speaking out went above 1500 (far more than Gaddafi had killed), Assad got no meaningful condemnation form the US. I guess that there is nothing like an attack on one's embassy to clear the head.
