We are all still waiting

in the last few weeks, president obama has held a press conference, given quite a few speeches, held oodles of fundraisers and, of course, played golf. During that time two of the key issues facing the country have been a faltering economy and a spendthrift federal government. While Obama has spoken about both subjects, he still has not put forward any proposal as to how to deal with either. Does he want another stimulus like the first on that failed? We do not know. Does Obama want to change the corporate tax structure so that it encourages investment in the USA rather than the exportation of jobs? Maybe, but aside from some generalized statements that tax simplification would be good, there is no proposal from the White House. Does Obama favor encouraging domestic energy exploration to keep dollars in the USA, create jobs and give the economy some additional gas? Here the answer seems clearly to be no since Obama has done things that go the other way. Even now, however, there is no clear proposal from Obama as to how to handle the energy problem. We also have no proposal from Obama as to what, if anything, he things would help with the high level of unemployment.

We deserve a president who leads. As Obama said at his press conference, they are called "leaders" for a reason. Instead, we get a president who is AWOL. Obama has got to go!
