A Picture That Says it All

These pictures of a Palestinian refugee camp show something very important to keep in mind:

These pictures show the Yarmouk refugee camp for Palestinians after it was bombarded by artillery for most of the last week.  What is key here, however, is not the nearly total destruction of the refugee camp.  No, it is the location of the camp and the identity of the attacker.  The Yarmouk camp is just outside Damascus in Syria.  The artillery barrage came from the guns of the Syrian forces loyal to Bashir al-Assad.  In other words, the same Syrian forces that used chemical weapons on their own people have been shelling this refugee camp for Palestinians.  And what have you heard about this in the media?  NOTHING.  We don't even know yet how many hundreds or thousands of Palestinians were killed in the attack, but there is essentially no coverage in the American media. 

 

Now just consider what you would be seeing on your TVs or computer screens if the attack was by Israelis.  We would hear this denounced as war crimes or worse.  But the Israelis don't do this; the Syrian butcher and his Iranian and Hezbollah allies do.
