Turning Over in Their Graves

America has had many great leaders: Washington, Lincoln, Roosevelt, Eisenhower, Reagan to name a few. These folks had major goals, bold plans to achieve them and results that made this country great. The men must be turning over in their graves after considering the type of "leadership" we have now. We have a president whose biggest point in his re-election campaign as of late is a total lie. We have a president who knows that his principal point as of late is a lie. We have a president who actually has surrogates falsely accusing his opponent of criminal behavior in a desperate attempt to lie his way back to the Oval Office. Obama has just one goal: victory in the election. Nothing else seems to matter to him. Does the country need help getting out of its economic malaise? Obama does nothing! It does not matter to Obama; he prefers having gridlock so that he can use it as an excuse on the campaign trail. Are the Iranians getting dangerously close to having nuclear weapons? Obama does not care. Instead, he spends his time trying to delay any further developments until after the election. He cannot have any action taken that might upset his campaign. He does not care if the end result is a nuclear Iran with missiles pointed at the USA, Europe and Israel. Does that pesky Constitution require the president to enforce the laws of the USA as written? Again, Obama does not care. He is ready to shred the Constitution and to change the immigration laws by executive decree since he thinks this will help him with a voting bloc he needs.

So now what? America has a president who does not seem to care at all about what is good for the country. He could fight for re-election by telling us what he plans for a second term. He does not. He could fight for a second term by arguing why his actions in the first term like the stimulus and Obamacare were good for us all. He does not. Instead, America has a president who throws so much mud at his adversary that most folks will just get disgusted by it. Think about it. Romney is now charged by the Obamacrats as a felon because of what was written on documents filed by Bain Capital with the SEC. The documents are called inaccurate by the Obamacrats even though the folks at Bain make clear that they were accurate. The documents are called inaccurate even though three liberal fact checking organizations thoroughly reviewed the records and announce that Obama's position is wrong. But Obama is still out there with that and other phony charges. Again, think about it. The only one who is a felon in this race is Obama. He candidly admitted to using cocaine in Hawaii and in New York. It is unclear if he also used cocaine in California. That is two or three felonies right there. But Obama has his campaign call Romney a felon.

For his entire time in the public eye, Obama has been someone whose governance led to major opposition, but who seemed, at least, like a nice guy. Not anymore. Obama has revealed himself for the person he really is. This is going to hurt him much more than he understands. Folks out there who were prepared to give him another chance because they liked him even though his policies did not work are going to change their mind. Obama is managing to throw away his only remaining asset in the battle to win votes from anyone other than the true believers.

Over the last two years, I have written post after post that end with the tag line "Obama has got to go!" I think that, based upon Obama's campaign, we need to amend that line. From now on, it is "Obama, that lying scum, has got to go."
