The Worst Yet

Much has been made lately of the recent appointments made by president Obama; they are all old white guys.  That's right, no women, no blacks, no Hispanics, no gays.  Indeed, Obama just appointed the first white male Secretary of State since the last century.  Personally, I think that Obama should appoint the best person for each job no matter what race, gender, ethnic background etc. of that person is.  But for Obama to make the appointments that he has flies in the face of progressive dogma that praises diversity as a goal to reach that is more important than excellance.  I was wondering just how the various leftists in the media would deal with this conundrum.  Well, today we got the answer.

On MSNBC, Melissa Harris Perry (who certainly seems to owe her own job at the network to affirmative action) defended Obama's appointments.  She told viewers that she worried that these appointments were made because Obama hoped that by picking old white guys he would be able to satisfy the racist, homophobic and misogynistic Republicans in the Senate who will need to vote on their confirmation.  It is perhaps the worst thing that I have ever heard on MSNBC (and that truly is saying something.)  Obama goes for the people he wants and doesn't give a hoot about diversity, so Harris Perry tells the world that the reason is racism, but it is the supposed racism of the Republicans rather than that of Obama.

Is it too difficult for someone as brainwashed as Harris Perry to realize that Obama is just picking the folks he really wants?  Apparently so.
