Guess what? There's now officially a Democrat congressman who has announced his candidacy for president in 2020. That's right, a Maryland Democrat named Delany made himself the first in the race.
It's disgusting. The election is not for another three and a half years, but this fool is already running. If his move encourages other Democrats to join the race, we could see the start of the perpetual campaign.
Not all that long ago, candidates got into the race in the Spring of the election year. Then the season for declaring one's candidacy move to the fall of the year before. In 2016, most candidates got into the race in the Spring of 2015, making it a seemingly endless year and a half contest. Now this bozo from Maryland is trying to more than double that time span.
I don't care what this guy has to say. I think he has disqualified himself from ever being president by showing his extraordinarily poor judgment in making his early entry into the race. The best thing that can be done about this is to totally ignore him and his campaign.
