Knowledgeable Sources Just Got Worse

I just saw an article reporting that senator John McCain doesn't want President Trump to attend his funeral.  The report doesn't cite a source to whom the reporter spoke.  The report doesn't even talk about unnamed sources or knowledgeable source.  Nope, this new version of the news is just reporting that other media have said that Trump isn't welcome at the Mccain funeral.  That's idiotic.  We no longer get supposed sources for the report; the media just repeats what someone else said.

Did McCain ask Trump not to come to his funeral?  I don't know.  McCain has a brain tumor, so there's no way of knowing how much control he actually has over his actions.  One thing is certain, however.  There's no way that the mainstream media should be reporting stories just because another paper did so.  Just think back a few days to the NBC Fake News report that the FBI had wiretapped the phone calls of Michael Cohen.  The story was repeated and NBC even announced that it had confirmed the validity of the story with four different unnamed sources.  Of course, it turned out that the story was completely bogus.  There had been no wiretap.  All those supposed confirmations were either imaginary or total lies.
