The head of the terrorists of al - Qaeda, Ayman al-Zawahiri, issued a statement calling on Muslims to wage jihad against the United States. Zawahiri based his call on the opening of the American embassy in Jerusalem, Israel. So what?
I've just read four articles in the mainstream media lamenting that al-Zawahiri issued this call for jihad. Somehow, this is supposed to show that the move of the embassy by President Trump was a mistake. Are they kidding? Do they forget just who al-Qaeda members are? These are the people who made the 9-11 attack that killed over 3000 Americans. This is the organization founded by Osama bin Laden. These are terrorists who have been at war with the USA for the last twenty years at a minimum. A jihad by al-Qaeda is nothing new; it has been going on for decades. So why should anyone care that Zawahiri has repeated his call for jihad.
If anything, what is notable about the statement is that, as usual, Zawahiri does not dare appear in public to make this call. He knows that were he to show his face anywhere, he would be signing the order for his death (or at least capture).
Someone needs to explain to the mainstream media that just because the move of the embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem was ordered by President Trump, it is not necessarily a bad thing.
