The G-20 met over the weekend in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Among other key events at the conference, President Trump met with Chinese president Xi to discuss trade and other matters. They reached an agreement on certain parts of the puzzle, but others will be subject to further negotiations.
That description provides pretty much all the information we have about the exact nature of the agreements between Trump and Xi that is available to the public. There have been statements by both the American government and the Chinese government, but they have not been coordinated and they contain and emphasize different points. As a result, the media/economic pundits/Democrat politicians are going crazy over the outcome. The tentative agreement has been described as everything from a total win for the USA to a total win for China. It's safe to say that neither of those descriptions is correct, but it hasn't stopped some of the dimmer pundits from pushing that view nevertheless.
There isn't going to be a press conference by the President about the agreement until after the Bush funeral is over. It seems that until then, the media/Democrats are just going to make it up as they go along. That's sad. This is a very important agreement with China. The terms of that agreement and its impact on the USA are extremely important. It's sad that the media feels compelled to go crazy on something like this and to push ideas and views that are best described as conspiracy theories.
